FLARE is a group of rocketeers located in Las Cruces, New Mexico with a strong emphasis on introducing new flyers to the hobby and on education.We are a community of various professionals who pursue a shared interest: Fighting the tyranny of gravity.
Launch Schedule
We launch on the first Saturday of every month at our Waterfalls launch site, starting at 8:00 AM (note: due to conflicts our September launch will be September 12 instead of the usual September 5)..
Basic Rocketry Workshop September 19
FLARE will conduct a Basic Rocketry Workshop classroom at MONAS (The Las Cruces Museum of Nature and Science, 411 N. Main St. Las Cruces) on Saturday, September 19th from 9:00 am to noon. All ages are welcome. You will build rockets from a kit and take them home. You will learn the basics of building and launching rockets. Parents: if you are bringing a child under 10 years old, you will be doing most of the work. Minors MUST be accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required, and there is no charge. Walk in and find out how to reach for the sky.
